What the rune stones say
The blood-red runes on the standing stones look ominous – but they spell out plain English, and the message is a joke.
Picture: MetalDragon6666 ↗Each rune stands for one English letter, so the stones can simply be read. Spelled out, the text says roughly:
“In honour of some random bloke that has no significance to the story or the game in general.”
Reddit user MetalDragon6666 worked it out soon after starting to play and shared the translation together with this screenshot.
Tip: The runes are Elder Futhark: ᚺ is H, ᛟ is O, ᚾ is N and so on – try reading a line yourself.
